- DFL joins The Pulitzer Center as a regional partner in their South to South AI Accountability Network which aims to extend the impact of their AI Accountability Network reporting by connecting it with CSOs & academia in the Majority World.
- Sr Research Manager Aarushi Gupta and Research Associate Anushka Jain are co-authors of the India case study within the upcoming report, ‘Responsible AI in the Asia’. A summary of this report was recently released by LIRNE Asia.
- Senior Research Associate, Dona Mathew was featured in Medianama’s latest piece on the risks of AI in Indian courts. Dona remarks that the use of GenAI in the legal space in India is inevitable given the overwhelming workload and pressure to bring in revenue - but that human oversight should not be taken lightly.
- Research Associate Sasha John was at Project Tech4Dev’s ‘AI for Global Development’ Sprint in Bangalore, where she spoke about ‘Speculative Friction’ - a project harnessing the powers of anticipatory foresight and creative storytelling to socialise nuanced narratives on the unintended impacts of GenAI in India.
